Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1/3 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes, 14.5 Ounce
  • 8 ounce Coca Cola, 1 can
  • 2 stalks Celery Stalks
  • 2 cups Baby Carrots
  • 2 large Sweet Potatoes, Peeled and cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 large Bay Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas, thawed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Seasoned Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Mix flour, seasoned salt and pepper together in a large ziplock bag. Cut the roast into bite size pieces and then place in the bag. Shake to coat. 2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat and add beef. Brown on all sides, about 4 minutes. Add beef to slow cooker. 3. Add chopped onion to same skillet, adding a little more oil if needed. Cook for 2 minutes until onion starts to get soft. Add garlic and cook one more minute. 4. Add tomato paste and enough beef broth to deglaze pan, scraping off brown bits to add flavor to stew. 5. Pour remaining beef broth into slow cooker and contents of skillet along with all remaining ingredients except the peas. Cook on high 4-6 hours or low 6-8. Add peas last 30 minutes.
