Fire Roasted Tomato Soup

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Basil, fresh is best
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 can Chicken Broth, about 14 ounces
  • 2 cans Fire Roasted Tomatoes
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Whipping Cream

Instructions

  1. Chop onion. Melt butter. Add onion, garlic, basil, red pepper flakes, broth, tomatoes, and sugar. Bring to a boil. Allow to simmer at least 30 minutes. Divide soup in half and blend each half in an osterizer. (Allow soup to cool slightly before blending, and make sure to hold the lid on tight). Return soup to pot. Add whipping cream and stir. Serve with sour cream.
