Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Flank Steak
  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 medium Limes
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Jalapeno, seeded, and minced
  • 1/2 bunch Fresh Cilantro, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Whisk the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, vinegar, sugar, black pepper and cumin in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the garlic, jalapeƱo and cilantro. 2. Place the steak in the marinade and turn over a few times to coat well. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight. 3. Preheat grill to high. Sear the steak on the hot grill or grill pan. Grill for a few minutes on each side to sear. Cook another few minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 120 for rare, 125 for medium rare or 140 for medium. The meat will continue to cook from residual heat. Tent with foil on cutting board and let rest for 10 minutes. 4. Using a sharp, bladed knife cut meat against the grain.
