Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 large Yellow Onion
  • 3 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 5 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 cans Crushed Tomatoes, 28 oz cans
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste


  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a dutch oven over medium high heat. Saute' onions 5 minutes until soft and translucent. 2. Add sugar, garlic, tomato paste and seasonings. Saute' one minute more. 3. Stir in vinegar, cook 30 seconds. Add broth and tomatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer about 40 minutes until sauce is thick and quite fragrant.
